Biography
Vanice “Van” Sikes, Jr. graduated cum laude from Georgia Southern College in 1979. He graduated cum laude from The University of Georgia Law School in 1982 and was admitted to the Georgia Bar that year. He served in the United State Air Force Judge Advocate General’s Corps from 1982 to 1986. He worked in private practice in Savannah from 1986 to 1999 and in Marietta from 1999 to 2002. During these years, his practice focused on plaintiff’s personal injury cases. He was President of the Savannah Trial Lawyers Association in 1997-1998. From 2002 to 2022, he worked in a staff counsel office of a large insurance company defending clients throughout Georgia. He worked in Alpharetta until 2019 and moved to Perry where he continued to work for the staff counsel office. He retired from the staff counsel office in 2022. Van now serves as “Of Counsel” for Bloodworth, Crowely & Leverett and he also serves as a registered mediator at Adams ADR.
